A cage for your pet can be either bought or made easily. Generally they need a small cage for sleeping and a play room. A cage one foot by one foot for each pig is fine. You can also buy a special, multi-layer, super stacking, wonder house, with tubes, wheels, bedrooms, and other exciting stuff, but these houses are very expensive. You should use only pine shavings, not cedar, for guinea pigs. As they also like to chew the shavings, you'd better place the shavings on the floor of the enclosure for about inch or two high. When the shavings get wet or soiled it is time to change them, because they should always be dry.
