Guinea Peruvian Picture Pig

The guinea peruvian picture pig and guinea hen aviary picture can be found on small pet sites and aviaries sites. This is a longhaired variety with a broad head and a short face. The body length is about 20-40 cm and the average litter size is about 3 babies. They are often kept as pets and come in a variety of colors. Since they have a long coat, they require a lot of grooming. Their coat is usually parted down the centre of the back, with the hair falling forward over the face. These pets are not recommended for novice owners. The care requirements are similar to those for other types and include feeding them pet foods and placing them in roomy cages with solid floors. These animals have good eye sight. They are very fragile, so be very attentive when holding a cavy in your arms. Young cavy, for instance may try to jump out of your hands, and that can lead to broken bones or internal injuries. Never leave your cavy on a tabletop or other surface with an abrupt edge without supervision. These animals don’t normally bite; well, they can bite you, but only as a mean of self-defense. Cavies are rather clever animals and can even be trained. The potty training of these animals is not difficult, because they consider the cage a safe place and will litter in the familiar territory. The guinea peruvian picture pig and guinea hen aviary picture can be found on small pet sites and aviaries sites.

Guinea pig habitats should be small and provide for everything the creature may need; look at photos of what other people have set-up for their pets; a farm is a good place to start your research.
