Guinea Pigs Care
Guinea pigs care shares a lot with different birds; a breeder can go over the similarities with you.
They are rather active and a young animal may try to jump out of your hands. Hold them rather careful and attentive otherwise the fall can lead to broken bones and internal injures. Proper diet is also important for these animals; it should contain all necessary vitamins and minerals. To wear down their constantly-growing front teeth, these animals must chew, so provide them with various chewing items. Ask the veterinarian how to clip the pet's nails and perform this procedure every two weeks. It is also recommended provide your cavy with regular veterinary check-ups, which should be done about twice a year.

Guinea Pigs Care -
birds, breeder
Keeping small animals like cavies has many advantages when compared to other pets. They don't need to go out daily and they can be left alone for the whole day unlike dogs, for instance. Cavies are rather friendly with other animals, however, if you have some other large pet, never ever leave your cavy unsupervised. It is recommended to use two hands to pick up your pet and don't forget to place a towel underneath them to prevent unexpected surprises. Try not to leave your animal unsupervised on a tabletop because it will surely wander too close to the edge and fall.
